Winners Galore: Multiple $50K Lotto Tickets Sold At These Long Island Stores

Lottery officials announced that three Long Island stores have each sold a winning lottery ticket worth $50 thousand.

On Thursday, Oct. 12, the New York Lottery announced that the following three stores in Nassau County sold third-prize-winning tickets for the Powerball drawing occurring the night before:

  • 7-Eleven, located at 2259 Jerusalem Avenue in Bellmore;
  • Bar Jay Cards, located at 3 Northwest Drive, Suite 10, in Farmingdale; and
  • Mineola Smoke & Card Corporation, located at 428 Jericho Turnpike in Mineola.

All of the winning tickets were worth $50 thousand, lottery officials said.

The trio of winners are three of 14 tickets worth $50 thousand across New York who got lucky in the Wednesday, Oct. 11 Powerball drawing.

Winning Powerball numbers are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Powerball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26.

Drawings are televised at 11:59 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

The New York Lottery, which is the most profitable in North America, contributed $3.7 billion to help support education in New York State during the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
